Sunday's rounds
We saw Tiananmen and the Forbidden City today. Certainly can't come to Beijing and not do these things, but it sure felt like a lot of the same over and over. Perhaps our inability to listen to all the commentary from our tour guide due to our two distractors led to less than full enjoyment. Very impressive places to be sure - we walked from the south end of TS to the north end of the FC. Both were teeming with people, and in Tiananmen, thousands and thousands were lined up to pass by Mao's tomb.

What a week - one week ago you were on the plane flying to China - so much has happened!
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to read your updates - and the pictures are great too! It's exciting for all of us back home to follow along with you on the beginning of this adventure. We'll be praying that everyone's health (and endurance!!!) holds up!
Hey, thanks for the updates. I have been sharing your blog coments with the ones here on the farm. The pictures are precious and cannot wait to see all of you again. Weather here is HOT which makes a Sunday afernoon good for sleeping through the golf match.
ReplyDeleteSee you soon. The Brummett's
I've just read (all)your posts; they're delightful! I'm a bit envious that Kathleen was able to swim at the Cube. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we rejoice with you in God's goodness. Nancy, for the Longbottoms
ReplyDeleteHi Jeremy & Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteI was talking to your mom at church this morning and she gave me your blog address - I hope that is ok. I am so excited to see you have Seth in China, and the sights are very familiar:) Josie will remember this forever along with Seth. We just celebrated Lee Lee's 2nd Gotcha Day. I pray your time together will be special and bonding for everyone. The 2 weeks we had together were incredible - lots of time in the hotel just looking at Lee Lee and so thankful that God was gracious to give her to us. Enjoy it:)
