Not a lot of verbosity to share today. I'm feeling better, and we're hoping K isn't next in the meat grinder. She and the kids went to the Beijing Zoo yesterday, which turned out to be better than advertised (the preview we had gotten was that all the animals either look or are dead), and all of us went to the Summer Palace today, which was much more interesting and picturesque than the Forbidden City. I guess the idea of summering at the lake goes back a few years. Pictures here of the zoo Wed and park Tues; next post of Summer Palace today.
